Tulsi Basil Tea with Dehydrated Leaves

Ingredients:

  • Dehydrated Tulsi Basil leaves
  • Boiling water
  • Honey (to taste)
  • Lemon (to taste)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Dehydrated Leaves:
    • Start with a batch of dehydrated Tulsi Basil leaves. To make these, remove fresh leaves from the stems and lay them flat on a sheet that allows for proper air circulation. Pop them into a preheated oven at 150 degrees Fahrenheit for approximately 30 minutes or until the leaves are crisp all the way through and do not give when trying to tear them. Once ready, store them in a mason jar for later use.
  2. Brew Your Tea:
    • For a single cup of Tulsi Basil tea, take 2-3 teaspoons of the dehydrated leaves and place them in a steeper in your favorite cup. Pour boiling water over the leaves, filling the cup. Let the tea steep for 5-6 minutes, allowing the leaves to infuse their rich flavor.
  3. Enhance the Flavor:
    • Remove the leaves and add honey and lemon to your tea according to your preference. These ingredients not only elevate the taste but also provide additional health benefits.

Tulsi Basil Tea with Fresh Leaves

Ingredients:

  • Approximately 1.5 cups of fresh Tulsi Basil leaves
  • 6 cups of water
  • 3 tablespoons of honey
  • 1/4 cup of lemon juice

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Fresh Leaves:
    • Begin by carefully removing the fresh Tulsi Basil leaves from the stem. These leaves are vibrant and packed with flavor.
  2. Boil the Water:
    • In a pot, bring 6 cups of water to a boil. Once boiling, add 3 tablespoons of honey and 1/4 cup of lemon juice. Stir the mixture to allow the honey to dissolve completely.
  3. Infuse the Tea:
    • Add the fresh Tulsi Basil leaves to the boiling water. Let them steep for about 15 minutes, during which time the leaves will release their herbal goodness into the water.
  4. Enjoy Warm or Cold:
    • For a warm cup of Tulsi Basil tea, simply strain the leaves and sip away. If you prefer it cold, allow the tea to cool, transfer it to a pitcher, and store it in the fridge. Your refreshing cold Tulsi Basil tea will be ready to enjoy whenever you please.

Tulsi Basil tea is a gift from nature, offering relaxation and rejuvenation in a single cup. Whether you choose to prepare it with dehydrated leaves for convenience or fresh leaves for an extra burst of flavor, you can savor the wonderful taste of this herbal tea.
